A little about me...
Hey! I’m Lauren Cumbie and I’m so glad you’re here. I’m a wife, a Troy University Alumni, a Digital Media Specialist at Dogwood Media Solutions, and most importantly a Christian. I have always been a deep thinker with a love of writing.
Although this is my place to share my thoughts on theology, marriage, current events, life, or whatever else is running around in my head at the moment, I want my writing to always be gospel centered and truthful.
My hope is that while you’re here, you’ll be encouraged, challenged, and maybe even learn a little something too. I pray that by speaking gospel truth, in love, over all kinds of situations we will grow to be more like Christ just as it says in Ephesians 4:15.
Why abound more?
The idea behind abound more comes from 1 Corinthians 15:58 that says “Therefore, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Knowing that in the Lord your work is not in vain.”
To abound means to exist or have in large number or amount. As Christians we’re called to abound in Christ or to have so much of Christ that it’s no longer us that lives but He that lives in us! As we abound in Him we begin to abound more in truth, in love, in faith, and more. It effects every aspect of our lives!
As I seek to abound more in Christ every day, I see how He is changing my life and that’s what this blog is for.
